One Percent Quilt

The One Percent Quilt is so named because of it's 100 squares. The body of the quilt is formed by a field of 9 x 11 = 99 Americana fabric squares. To remember 911. Then we applique 1 square of military camo fabric to the field, completing the 100 squares.

The math is like this - there are roughly 300 million Americans and roughly 3 million serving Active Duty and Reserve status in the military. In short, less than "One Percent" of our population, make up the military. Less than "One Percent" protect the rest of us.

The quilt is then finished with a border of matching camo fabric and ribbed in fabric matching the field.
